The Masjid is open for daily Salaah from 4 July, with the following conditions:

  • Open 10 minutes before Salaah and closed 10 minutes after the fardh prayer
  • Sunnah and Nafil prayer to be prayed at home
  • Do your wudu from home - toilet and wudu facilities will be closed
  • Only pray in the designated prayer places (clearly marked)
  • Bring your own prayer mat and face mask
  • Maintain social distancing at all times
  • Use the hand santitiser provided when entering and exiting the masjid
  • Do not stand in groups outside the masjid
  • Masjid will be closed for Jummah/Zuhr on Fridays and Eid Salaahs until further notice

York Muslim Association is a charity organisation which has been established since 1988 and has been serving the York Community for over two decades.

The York Muslim Association offers social, educational and cultural activities run throughout the year.

York is a city in North Yorkshire, in the North of England. York Muslim Association is a charity organisation run by its members and funded by donations from the worshippers. The school and Masjid serves a diverse Muslim community of various ethnic origins – Turkish, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian and other nationalities.

The organisation has a good rapport with neighbouring businesses, residents near the premises as well as the local police and the local Member of Parliament.

Both the police and the local MP have given speeches at the charity premises on varying subject matters. InshAllah (God willing) we hope to strive further in all the activities we offer above and hope to see more growth over the coming years.
